Retawes Reboots: I Dream An E3 Dream.....

As E3 is right round the corner, I thought that I would release an article that 'prophesizes' the possible announcements for E3.

Bethesda: Fallout 4: New York

With the success of 2010's Fallout set in New Vegas and having its turn on the Bethesda cycle (Fallout/Elder Scrolls), it wouldn't be surprising if Fallout 4 was announced at this year's E3.
Even though this is a Fallout 3 mod, it still looks pretty cool!
Speaking of which, with the popularity of the New Vegas' setting, I think that the next game in the series should be set in New York. Just imagine the possibilities that could happen! Each famous site of New York could be owned by a different faction. For instance, the Brotherhood of Steel could own the Empire State Building, where as Legion could inhabit Central Park! Heads up Bethesda as this would be an engaging concept for the sequel to Mr.House and friends....

Square Enix: Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XIV/Versus XIII

Nomura! Answer Us!
With the release of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, E3 and TGS would be the perfect places to properly announce KH3. Now, I understand that Nomura has hinted that Kingdom Hearts 3 will eventually be released however, he has never given us any actual screenshots, gameplay, trailers or release dates.

Incidentally, Versus XIII, XIV or whatever it's called needs to happen. With the obvious similarities between this and KH, Square should release some news for both at this year's E3. We fans deserve to see a new trailer at least. What with the fact that they released a completely epic trailer that lasted 10 minutes before ignoring/avoiding any questions or conferences that involved the futuristic JRPG. Please Nomura, "We need news on Versus or Mickey Mouse!".

Bioware: Dragon Age 3

After the ridiculous attempt of modernising the small franchise, Bioware needs to announce a sequel to the critically appalling Dragon Age 2. A word of advice to and Bioware staff that might read this, make the game's story, characters and environments just like Dragon Age: Origins but with the updated engine of Dragon Age 2. Although, if there is any unneeded back tracking in this sequel, you will suffer!

CyberConnect: Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, Asura's Wrath Sequel or spin-off and Bleach or Fairy Tail Fighter

We all know that Ultimate Ninja Storms Generations was just a 'filler' title for fans of the ninja themed series that was made to supplement our need for a new anime inspired fighter/rpg/adventure! Besides the obvious announcement of Ninja Storm 3, I believe that CyberConnect will release an anime inspired fighter that's very similar to their Naruto franchise but with either Bleach or Fairy Tail.
My favourite Anime....and possibly, my favourite game!

Think about it! Natsu or Ichigo fighting against Laxus or Aizen from their respected anime! Also, Fairy Tail's guild scenarios would work well as a Town Portal zone where you can travel to other areas by accessing the Job board and choosing which characters to go as or with.

For Bleach, it'd basically be as if you were playing through the story but it could have a similar concept as 'Naruto UNS Generations' were you play each character's storyline but with far more depth than battle scenes and comic strips!

GTA Meets Bleach....Soul Society Stories!

Note: I will update this page as time goes by with whatever game that I feel should be or wil be announced at E3.....

Gamer's Rage: Game Endings (ME3, FF13-2, etc)

After finishing an enduring franchise, most players wish for a proper closure to make up for their deep devotion to a title. However, what if the case is that the 'finale' ends up being unnsatisfactory or completely out of place when compared to its predecessor. Well my fellow cave dwellers, you get an outraged fan bomb that will anihilate whatever gets in its way of that desirable 'true ending'.

Very few games have this "Finale Fever" thought the ones that contain it, usually cause an outrage among their obsessive fan-base. For instance, the Mass Effect 3 franchise has had an enraged outburst of fans demand Bioware to create a 'better' ending that suits their own personal enjoyment. They even were patriotic and bold enough to create a petition for Bioware to alter their (Not the fan's) game's ending. These sorts of scenarios make me feel embarrassed to be a gamer in today's society as a majority of judgemental people assume that we are all whiny, spoiled brats that demand what they personally desire which ends up being the unpopular opinion.

Now, I am not saying that there isn't a place for these incidents to occur nor am I saying that I have never felt what these fellow gamers are going through. For instance, when I completed Final Fantasy 13-2 (SPOILER ALERT!) I was devastated to know that the 'true ending' involved Serah dying and the whole of coccoon collapsing into the earth. (SPOILER FINISHED!) However, writing a petition was the last thing on my mind though I was pretty annoyed with Square Enix using dlc to 'fix' their ending like Mass Effect!

It is rumoured that there is an upcoming dlc that is supposed to show what happened to Lightning during the game......sigh

Don't understand my game? Then buy my DLC!
Speaking of which, I am incredibly furious with the amount of developers that believe that DLC defines an ending to their games. Asura's Wrath, Final Fantasy 13-2, Mass Effect 3 and others all follow this ridiculous pattern that is branding the game's industry as child's play. Unnoticingly, companies are  'stealing' loads of cash from oblivious gamers and patriotic fans by releasing 'extra content' that should have been on the disc to conclude the game to begin with! Asura's Wrath for example, had a very small campaign (5-7 hours) and due to its mediocre epilogue, the developers released numerous quantities of dlc to fill in the uneeded gaps between each episode and to finalise the game's confusing ending. (To some it was criticised as confusing)

Ending with an optomistic statement, I hope that developers do not take further advantage of gamers as that would result in a true fan-fare war.
